Why I became a therapist

My journey into the area of psychotherapy originally came about as a teenager when I started experiencing anxiety and panic attacks. Luckily, I sought help from a therapist which changed everything. She helped me calm my anxiety and gave me tools to use outside of sessions. She helped me build my confidence in facing the situations I had started to avoid. I started to really enjoy life again and I got my freedom back. Inspired by how much therapy helped me I wanted to learn and share what I had gained so I could help others one day. I wanted to be able to provide to others the space that what was given to me.

In my early 20s I discovered EFT through videos on YouTube. I was amazed at how quickly and effectively my stress levels dropped after just a few minutes of tapping. I started using this new tool regularly. Years later when I had started my career as a psychotherapist I discovered a practitioner course in EFT and couldn't believe I could integrate this tool I loved so much into my own work professionally!

My personal experiences have greatly benefited my career as a therapist. I understand how challenging life with anxiety can be, but I also know that it can get better and you don't have to face it alone. My goal is to help my clients rediscover their true authentic selves and regain their freedom.

Outside of the therapy room

Outside of being in the therapy room I am happiest when I am being creative; baking, knitting or painting on canvas. I love being in nature and going for long walks with my partner as well as traveling to visit different cities. I have always had a huge love for animals and have fostered many over the years. I feel most fulfilled spending time with my closest people.
